Face Book -  Information and History   

Online community Websites are becoming more and more popular as time passes by. One of the most common among all is the beginning of 2004. Face book was founded by Dustin Moskovitz and Mark Zuckerberg, who are both from Cambridge, Massachusetts, both are former students of Harvard University. In 2006, Face Book gained much popularity and earned as much as 50 million dollars.

Face Book was originally created only for the students of Harvard University. Eventually they added a network for schools within Boston Including Boston College as well as Boston University. Because of the rapidly growing popularity of his online community almost all the universities and colleges were already included in the network next year. Afterwards, those who had a university address all over the world were allowed to join facebook. Later on, High Schools were also included in the community's network. The estimated number ol registered members in face book has already reached 42 million. Facebook is considered as the 18th most browsed and visited websites all over the world. In United States, facebook is the 7th most popular and visited website.

Some Important Features of Facebook  

Facebook has some important features. This popular online community website allows its registered users to create several albums so that they can organize their photos which can be vewed by their friends and relatives. On facebook one individual can recognize another by name and face. Atleast 85% of the students that are studying in college have their profiles created in facebook. We can also upload photos, videos on facebook so that our relatived and friends can watch them just by going to that website.
Facebook also hosts numerous other features for all the registered users. They can post messages and notes on the wall. One can also write comments if they know each other.

   Another feature of facebook is poking. You let others know that you exist. Through the use of poking, you can interact with the other registered users of facebook. You can also post the events that will be happening for the next few days. This can be possible because facebook also added the Events feature.

 Last but not the least nobody is required to pay any amount if you want to use facebook. Facebook earns because of the advertisers or sponsors. Thus it can be said that facebook is not less than an asset or wealth for the modern generation. Its value can never be overlooked.
